Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman and foreman with daily construction tasks and operations.
- Operate hand and power tools, including saws, drills, and levels.
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
- Prepare job sites by clearing debris, laying out materials, and setting up temporary structures.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, concrete, and other materials according to blueprints.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to OSHA safety regulations.
- Perform general labor tasks such as digging, shoveling, and mixing concrete.
Qualifications
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50+ lbs).
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic math skills for measuring and cutting materials.
- Valid driver’s license is a plus but not always required.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in construction or general labor is a plus.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team.
