Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up equipment, and ensuring safety compliance
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy machinery (excavators, forklifts)
- Assist skilled tradespeople in carpentry, masonry, and concrete pouring tasks
- Load/unload construction materials and maintain organized material storage areas
- Follow blueprints and project specifications to execute tasks accurately
- Conduct daily site inspections and report hazards to supervisors immediately
- Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient workflow and meet deadlines
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and company standards at all times
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of construction labor experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, dust)
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
