Responsibilities
- Perform site preparation, including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) safely and efficiently
- Assist skilled trades with material installation and structural assembly
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and adhere to OSHA safety protocols
- Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
- Assist in erecting scaffolding, temporary structures, and safety barriers
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards to supervisors
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand/walk 8+ hours daily
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic math skills for measurement and material calculations
- Reliable transportation to job sites within Pima County
- Team player with strong communication skills
