Responsibilities
- Perform physical tasks including digging, lifting materials (up to 50 lbs), and operating hand/power tools
- Assist skilled tradesmen with preparation, cleanup, and material handling at construction sites
- Maintain a safe work environment by following OSHA guidelines and wearing proper PPE
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment using appropriate techniques
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and instructions from supervisors
- Assist in site preparation including grading, trenching, and debris removal
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient project completion
Qualifications
- Must be 18+ years old with legal authorization to work in the US
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Strong commitment to workplace safety protocols
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Philadelphia
- Basic math skills for measuring and material estimation
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to follow verbal instructions and work independently as needed
