Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris and setting up safety barriers
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, forklifts, and jackhammers (certification preferred)
- Load/unload construction materials and transport to designated areas
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other trades with manual tasks
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean work zones
- Read blueprints and follow project specifications accurately
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance on tools/equipment
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction or labor experience
- Valid OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Strong teamwork ethic and ability to follow verbal instructions
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Boston
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
