Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradesmen with material handling, site preparation, and cleanup duties
- Operate basic hand tools (hammers, saws, shovels) and light equipment under supervision
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain clean, organized job sites
- Load/unload construction materials and transport them as needed
- Perform physical tasks like digging, lifting, and carrying materials up to 50 lbs
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines efficiently
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards to supervisors immediately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical fitness assessment
- Valid driver's license preferred (not required for hire)
- Reliable transportation to job sites within Austin metro area
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends
- Strong work ethic and commitment to punctuality
- No prior construction experience necessary – training provided!
- Basic understanding of English communication for safety instructions
