Responsibilities
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment from delivery trucks.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) with daily on-site tasks.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site by removing debris and waste.
- Operate hand and power tools under direct supervision.
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols at all times.
- Perform basic site preparation, including digging, leveling, and pouring concrete.
- Communicate effectively with team leads and project managers.
Qualifications
- Physically fit and able to perform heavy lifting (up to 50+ lbs) and stand for long periods.
- Valid driver’s license is preferred but not strictly required.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety standards and site etiquette.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
- Reliable transportation to the job site in Chicago, IL.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors.
