Responsibilities
- Perform various physical tasks on construction sites, including digging, lifting, and carrying materials.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently under the supervision of a foreman.
- Assist skilled tradespeople with specific tasks such as mixing concrete, holding materials, or cleaning work areas.
- Ensure the job site is clean, organized, and compliant with all safety regulations and OSHA standards.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, diagrams, and safety plans.
- Unload and stack building materials at the job site to keep operations moving.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the site supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation are required.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) repeatedly throughout the day.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work well in a team environment.
- High school diploma or GED is preferred but not always required for entry-level positions.
- Basic math skills for measuring and estimating materials.
