Job Summary
As a Construction Laborer, you will play a crucial role in the successful completion of construction projects. You will work under the supervision of experienced foremen and project managers to ensure that every project is completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, moving materials, and digging trenches as directed.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials using hand trucks, forklifts, or pallet jacks.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction equipment (e.g., jackhammers, saws, generators) safely and efficiently.
- Cleaning & Organization: Maintain a clean and organized job site, ensuring all tools and materials are stored properly.
- Assisting Trades: Support carpenters, electricians, and plumbers by providing necessary help and labor during installation and repair tasks.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Experience: Previous construction labor experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training is provided.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
- Work Ethic: Dependable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
