Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites safely and efficiently.
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing job sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up scaffolding or temporary structures.
- Support Skilled Trades: Provide hands-on assistance to carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other tradespeople as directed.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with all OSHA regulations and company policies.
- Basic Equipment: Operate and maintain basic construction machinery, including forklifts, pressure washers, and generators.
- Measurement & Cutting: Assist in basic measurements, cutting, and fitting materials under supervision.
- Quality Control: Perform routine inspections of materials and work areas to ensure high standards are met.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in construction labor, general handyman work, or landscaping is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting, carrying, bending, and standing.
- Driver’s License: Valid California Driver’s License and a clean driving record are required.
- Safety Compliance: Strong commitment to safety protocols and the ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to follow instructions clearly.
- Reliability: Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential for this role.
