Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation, excavation, and material handling with precision
- Operate hand/power tools and heavy machinery (forklifts, excavators)
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and maintain organized work zones
- Assist carpenters, masons, and specialized trade professionals
- Read blueprints and follow project specifications accurately
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance reports
- Support sustainable construction practices and waste reduction
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years commercial construction experience
- OSHA 10/30 certification or willingness to obtain
- Valid NC driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic math skills for material estimation and measurement
- Strong teamwork communication in diverse environments
- Background check and drug-free workplace compliance
- Flexibility for weekend/evening shifts on critical projects
