Responsibilities
- Perform physical tasks including digging, lifting materials (up to 50 lbs), and operating hand/power tools
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, masons, electricians) with material preparation and site setup
- Ensure strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and project specifications
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and proper waste disposal
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws) with proper training
- Complete daily progress reports and assist with quality inspections
- Collaborate effectively with diverse teams in dynamic outdoor environments
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction/labor experience preferred
- Valid OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for material measurements
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Orleans Parish
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, humidity, rain)
