Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate heavy machinery (skid steers, forklifts) with precision and safety compliance
- Assist carpenters and masons with framing, concrete pouring, and finish work
- Inspect and maintain tools/equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Adhere to OSHA standards and project-specific safety protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet tight project deadlines
- Document daily progress and material usage reports
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years commercial construction experience
- Valid OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification
- Proficient in operating heavy machinery (certification preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness
- Illinois driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening
