Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) safely and efficiently
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other trades with material assembly/installation
- Maintain job site cleanliness and compliance with OSHA safety standards
- Load/unuck construction materials and equipment using proper lifting techniques
- Perform concrete pouring, finishing, and curing under supervision
- Document daily progress and report equipment/safety concerns to supervisors
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic knowledge of construction materials and tools
- Strong attention to detail and safety protocols
- Reliable transportation to job sites across San Diego County
- Ability to work Saturdays/Sundays (6 AM - 4 PM) with occasional overtime
