Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and organizing materials
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople with material handling and tool management
- Operate hand/power tools safely (saws, drills, jackhammers) and perform basic equipment checks
- Follow blueprints and verbal instructions to execute construction tasks accurately
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and adhere to OSHA safety protocols
- Load/unload trucks and transport materials to designated work zones
- Complete daily progress reports and assist with site cleanup duties
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction labor experience or trade school certification
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training available)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Basic tool proficiency (hammers, levels, saws) and equipment operation knowledge
- Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions precisely
- Background check and drug screen required upon hire
