Responsibilities
- Assist in material handling, loading/unloading equipment, and site preparation
- Perform manual labor including excavation, demolition, and debris removal
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) under supervision
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and adhere to OSHA safety standards
- Support skilled tradespeople with layout, measurement, and task execution
- Complete daily site inspections and report hazards or equipment issues
- Participate in project closeout activities including site cleanup and restoration
Qualifications
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform strenuous outdoor tasks
- Willingness to work Saturdays/Sundays in various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of construction site safety protocols
- Reliable transportation to job sites within DC metro area
- Valid government-issued ID and ability to pass background check
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to follow verbal instructions
- Previous construction or landscaping experience preferred but not required
