Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Clean and prepare construction sites, removing debris and obstacles to ensure a safe working environment.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize building materials, tools, and equipment on-site.
- Assistance: Assist skilled tradesmen (carpenters, electricians, masons) with various tasks as directed by the site supervisor.
- Concrete & Foundation: Help with concrete pouring, mixing, and finishing, as well as foundation preparation.
- Tool Operation: Operate power tools and heavy machinery (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently.
- Quality Control: Perform basic quality checks to ensure work meets project specifications.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in general construction labor is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated candidates.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a consistent schedule.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs) repeatedly, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- License: Valid Class C California Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools is a plus.
