Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in the preparation of construction sites by cleaning, digging, and leveling the ground as directed by the foreman.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from the site.
- Tool Operation: Operate power tools, hand tools, and heavy machinery (e.g., forklifts, skid steers) safely and effectively.
- Support Trades: Provide support to carpenters, electricians, and other skilled tradespeople by carrying out necessary tasks.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by removing debris and adhering to safety protocols.
- Quality Control: Perform basic inspections of work areas to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous construction labor experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) consistently.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and standing for extended periods.
- Driver's License: Valid California Class C Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Documentation: Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
