Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up barricades, and organizing materials
- Assist carpenters, masons, and equipment operators with hands-on tasks
- Operate basic tools like shovels, wheelbarrows, and power washers safely
- Follow blueprints and supervisor instructions precisely
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and adhere to OSHA standards
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards immediately
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment efficiently
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction or labor experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and perform physical labor
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Basic math skills for material measurements and inventory
- Strong work ethic with punctual attendance record
- Ability to work in various weather conditions (heat, rain, cold)
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
