Responsibilities
- Execute diverse construction tasks including excavation, concrete pouring, and material handling
- Operate hand/power tools safely and efficiently (jackhammers, saws, drills)
- Assist skilled tradesmen with site preparation and cleanup operations
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure precise project execution
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and site regulations
- Transport materials and equipment using proper lifting techniques
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years verified construction labor experience
- Valid OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and work in extreme weather
- Must possess reliable transportation to job sites
- Basic blueprint reading knowledge required
- Class B CDL license (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- NYC DOB Site Safety Training (SST) certification preferred
