Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation tasks including excavation, trenching, and material handling
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other trades with material loading/unloading and equipment operation
- Maintain clean, organized job sites by removing debris and following OSHA safety protocols
- Read blueprints and follow verbal instructions to complete construction tasks accurately
- Operate hand/power tools safely and perform routine equipment maintenance checks
- Adhere to project timelines while maintaining high-quality workmanship standards
- Document daily progress and report safety hazards to site supervisors
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of commercial construction experience required
- Valid OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and work in physically demanding conditions
- Basic knowledge of power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and construction materials
- Reliable transportation to various Atlanta metro job sites
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends as needed
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
