Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters and skilled tradesmen with material handling and site preparation
- Operate basic tools (hammers, saws, shovels) and equipment under supervision
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and dispose of debris properly
- Follow strict safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment from vehicles
- Perform physical tasks including digging, lifting, and carrying materials
- Complete daily timecards and report equipment issues to supervisors
Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout shifts
- Valid government-issued photo ID and work authorization
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of construction site safety standards
- Reliable transportation to job sites across DC
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
- Ability to follow verbal instructions from supervisors
- No prior experience required – training provided
