Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate hand/power tools safely and efficiently (saws, drills, jackhammers)
- Assist carpenters and masons with material installation and framing
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and adhere to OSHA safety protocols
- Read blueprints and follow verbal instructions from site supervisors
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment at job sites
- Perform general cleanup and debris removal throughout work shifts
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year commercial construction experience required
- Valid OSHA 10-hour certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and perform physical labor in all weather conditions
- Basic understanding of construction safety standards and practices
- Reliable transportation to job sites across DC metro area
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Must possess own basic hand tools (tape measure, hammer, utility knife)
