Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation, excavation, and material handling tasks following blueprints and safety protocols
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and light machinery (compactors, forklifts)
- Assist skilled trades (carpenters, masons, electricians) with layout, framing, and finishing work
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and adhere to OSHA compliance standards
- Participate in daily safety briefings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Load/unload construction materials and stage equipment for efficient workflow
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction experience or trade school certification
- Valid OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions
- Basic understanding of construction math and measurement tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to operate powered equipment
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance record
- Ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams and follow verbal/written instructions
