Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris and setting up equipment
- Assist skilled tradespeople with material handling and site logistics
- Operate basic machinery (saws, drills, compactors) under supervision
- Maintain strict safety standards and wear required PPE at all times
- Complete general cleanup and waste management tasks daily
- Follow blueprints and verbal instructions from site supervisors
- Perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and physically demanding tasks
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months construction or related labor experience
- Valid California driver's license preferred
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions (heat, noise, dust)
- Reliable transportation to job sites across San Diego
- Physical stamina for 8-hour shifts with frequent bending/kneeling
- Basic math skills for material measurement and inventory
- Team player with strong communication skills
