Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters and masons with material handling and site preparation
- Operate hand/power tools safely and efficiently
- Perform demolition, excavation, and earthwork tasks
- Maintain clean and organized job sites per OSHA standards
- Read and interpret basic construction blueprints
- Transport materials using equipment like forklifts and wheelbarrows
- Participate in daily safety briefings and toolbox meetings
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction experience preferred
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Flexibility to work occasional overtime and weekends
