Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in the preparation of construction sites by cleaning debris, digging trenches, and grading the ground.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment safely to and from the job site.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand tools under supervision.
- Assisting Trades: Support skilled tradespeople (electricians, carpenters, masons) with various tasks as needed.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with OSHA safety regulations.
- Measurements: Assist in measuring, cutting, and fitting materials according to blueprints and specifications.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends and flexible hours as required by project schedules.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or general labor is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
- Communication: Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Tools: Basic familiarity with hand tools is a plus.
