Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute building materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites safely.
- General Labor: Perform a variety of manual tasks including mixing concrete, sweeping, and cleaning work areas.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and jackhammers under supervision.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
- Assistance: Support carpenters, electricians, and plumbers with tasks as directed by the foreman.
Qualifications
- Physical Demands: Must be physically fit and able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and stand for long periods.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is required for site travel and material transport.
- Communication: Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- Experience: Prior construction labor experience is a plus, but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
- Tools: Basic understanding of hand and power tools is helpful.
- Reliability: Must have a consistent work history and be available for overtime as needed.
