Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from the job site safely and efficiently.
- Site Support: Assist skilled tradespeople with various tasks including framing, drywall hanging, and concrete work.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly follow all OSHA safety regulations, site-specific safety plans, and company protocols at all times.
- Tool Operation: Operate hand and power tools (drills, saws, levels) under supervision to help complete construction projects.
- Site Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area by cleaning up debris and excess materials.
- Physical Labor: Perform manual labor duties such as digging, lifting, carrying, and moving heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Communication: Effectively communicate with supervisors and team members to ensure project milestones are met.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and work on your feet for long periods in various weather conditions.
- Strength: Must be physically fit with the ability to lift and carry heavy loads repeatedly.
- Reliability: Proven track record of punctuality, dependability, and strong work ethic.
- Experience: Prior experience in construction or general labor is a plus, but not strictly required (training provided).
- Driver's License: Valid Texas driver's license preferred.
- Math Skills: Basic math skills for measuring and estimating materials.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team environment.
