Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and accurately count building materials, tools, and equipment to ensure project efficiency.
- Site Support: Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) with various on-site tasks as directed by supervisors.
- Equipment Operation: Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts, skid steers, and scissor lifts (certification provided upon hiring).
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site in strict compliance with OSHA safety regulations.
- Measurements & Prep: Perform basic measurements, cuts, and preparatory work for concrete, framing, or drywall.
- Excavation & Earthwork: Assist with digging, leveling, and preparing foundations or trenches as needed.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (50+ lbs) repeatedly throughout the workday.
- Driver’s License: Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record (preferred for site transport).
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Prior experience in construction labor or general labor is preferred but not mandatory for the right attitude.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, presentable, and willing to work a full-time schedule (Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM).
- Safety Mindset: Strong commitment to safety protocols and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
