Responsibilities
- Site Preparation & Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site by adhering to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual labor as required.
- Assist Trades: Support skilled tradespeople, including carpenters, electricians, and masons, with various tasks including measuring, cutting, and holding materials.
- Site Cleanup: Perform regular cleanup duties, including sweeping, debris removal, and trash disposal to ensure a professional work environment.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction equipment and power tools under supervision to assist in project tasks.
- Documentation: Assist in tracking daily site activities and reporting any safety concerns or material shortages to the Site Supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a general laborer, construction worker, or in a similar field is preferred but not mandatory; we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), standing, walking, and bending on various surfaces.
- Driver’s License: Valid state-issued driver’s license and a clean driving record required.
- Work Ethic: A strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work well within a team-oriented environment.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
