Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, masons) with various on-site tasks.
- Prepare construction sites by digging trenches, moving dirt, clearing debris, and setting up scaffolding.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently in accordance with safety regulations.
- Perform daily cleanup of work areas to ensure a safe and organized environment.
- Measure, cut, and prepare materials as directed by foremen or project managers.
- Perform manual labor tasks such as pouring concrete, laying bricks, or drywall hanging assistance.
Qualifications
- Physically fit and able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat.
- Basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, early mornings, and overtime.
- High school diploma or GED preferred; trade school experience is a plus.
