Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites efficiently.
- Site Assistance: Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) with various tasks as directed by the site supervisor.
- Equipment Operation: Operate heavy machinery and power tools (e.g., forklifts, jackhammers, saws) in a safe and controlled manner.
- Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by cleaning up debris and organizing tools.
- Site Prep: Perform basic site preparation tasks including excavation, grading, and trenching.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure project milestones are met.
Qualifications
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Experience: Previous experience in general labor, construction, or landscaping is preferred but not required (training provided).
- Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
- Safety: Basic understanding of construction safety protocols and the ability to follow OSHA guidelines.
