Responsibilities
- Perform physical labor tasks including digging, lifting, carrying materials, and operating hand/power tools
- Assist skilled tradesmen (carpenters, masons, electricians) with construction site duties
- Maintain clean and organized job sites by removing debris and following safety protocols
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and follow supervisor instructions
- Operate light machinery (saws, drills, compactors) after proper certification
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and wear required PPE at all times
- Complete daily equipment checks and report maintenance needs
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Willingness to obtain OSHA 10-hour certification (company provides training)
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with zero tolerance for absenteeism
- Basic math skills for measuring and material calculations
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and overtime
- Previous construction experience preferred but not required
