Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment at job sites.
- Site Preparation: Prepare work areas by clearing debris, digging, and leveling the ground as directed.
- Assist Trades: Provide support to carpenters, electricians, and plumbers by fetching tools or performing basic tasks.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws) and hand tools safely.
- Clean Up: Maintain a clean and safe job site by disposing of waste and securing materials.
- Measurement: Assist in measuring and cutting materials to specified dimensions.
- Documentation: Help complete daily logs and safety reports.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
- Work Ethic: Motivated individual with a strong desire to learn and work hard.
- Communication: Ability to follow instructions clearly from site supervisors.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and able to work flexible hours, including weekends if needed.
- Background: Must pass a basic background check and drug screen.
- Tools: Basic familiarity with construction tools is a plus but not required.
