Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load and unload building materials, tools, and equipment from trucks or delivery vehicles.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction equipment such as forklifts, jackhammers, and generators under supervision.
- Cleaning & Maintenance: Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards at all times.
- Trade Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople (electricians, plumbers, carpenters) by carrying out necessary tasks.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
- Reliability: Consistent attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Communication: Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions from supervisors.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of construction tools is a plus, but not required.
- Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the job site.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours, including weekends if necessary.
