Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize construction materials and tools on-site efficiently.
- Site Preparation: Assist in site preparation, including excavation, leveling, and debris removal.
- Tool Operation: Operate hand and power tools, including drills, saws, and levels, in a safe manner.
- Support Tasks: Assist carpenters, electricians, and other tradespeople with various tasks as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Site Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of tripping hazards.
- Basic Measurements: Perform basic measurements and marking tasks to support project accuracy.
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience in construction or labor is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Reliability: Strong work ethic with a commitment to showing up on time and ready to work.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is highly desirable.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively within a team structure and collaborate with diverse tradespeople.
- Education: High school diploma or GED is preferred.
