Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
- Assist skilled tradespeople, including electricians, plumbers, and carpenters, with daily tasks.
- Operate basic construction machinery and power tools (e.g., skid steers, saws) safely and efficiently.
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and leveling ground.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all safety protocols and regulations are followed.
- Perform general site cleanup and waste removal.
- Follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors to ensure project milestones are met.
Qualifications
- Valid Driverβs License and a clean driving record.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
- Basic math skills for measurements and material estimation.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, rain, cold).
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills in the skilled trades.
- Previous construction experience is a plus but not required.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety standards (OSHA) is preferred.
