Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and leveling ground as directed by the foreman.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction equipment and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Assist Trades: Provide support to skilled tradespeople, including carpenters and electricians, as needed.
- Quality Control: Help ensure all work meets company standards and client specifications.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Must be physically fit, able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and work in various weather conditions.
- Experience: Prior experience in construction labor or a related field is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Tools: Own basic hand tools and safety gear (steel-toed boots, hard hat, safety glasses) or willingness to acquire.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, hardworking, and able to work as part of a team.
- Safety: Strong commitment to following all safety guidelines and OSHA regulations.
