Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians: Support senior team members in residential and commercial electrical installations, maintenance, and repair projects.
- Blueprint Reading: Learn to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate installations.
- Wiring & Fixtures: Install, connect, and test electrical systems, outlets, lighting fixtures, and control devices.
- Tool Maintenance: Maintain, repair, and inspect electrical tools and equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC) and safety regulations on every job site.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, explaining project progress and ensuring satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Driver’s License: Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are mandatory.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Math Skills: Basic math skills for measuring and calculating electrical loads.
- Attitude: A strong desire to learn a skilled trade and a commitment to safety and quality work.
- Experience: No prior experience required; apprenticeship training provided.
