Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Perform basic tasks such as pulling wire, mounting outlets, and installing light fixtures.
- Read and interpret simple blueprints and schematics to understand project layouts.
- Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and free of hazards in compliance with OSHA safety standards.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and ensure code compliance.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to provide excellent service.
- Learn to use various hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not strictly required; a strong work ethic is essential.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation are required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various physical conditions (standing, bending, climbing ladders).
- Basic math skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Willingness to obtain required state licenses and certifications over time.
