Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to understand project requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical equipment and ensure all work adheres to local and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, strictly following OSHA safety regulations.
- Install and connect wiring, outlets, lighting fixtures, and control panels under supervision.
- Document work orders and report material needs to the foreman accurately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid California Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Basic knowledge of mathematics (fractions, decimals) is preferred.
- Physical stamina to work in various weather conditions and lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to learn and obtain required state licenses (Journeyman or Apprentice) within the timeline set by the state.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
