Responsibilities
- Assist senior electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications to ensure accurate work.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and infrastructure.
- Ensure all installations comply with local and national electrical codes (NEC) and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work site, adhering to all OSHA safety standards.
- Test electrical systems to ensure proper functionality and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Document all work performed accurately and efficiently.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred; trade school background is a plus but not required.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to travel to job sites.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic math skills for reading measurements and calculating loads.
- Strong desire to learn the trade and a commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
