Responsibilities
- Assist licensed electricians with installations of wiring, fixtures, and control systems
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical panels, transformers, and distribution equipment
- Follow blueprints and technical specifications to ensure code compliance
- Conduct safety inspections using testing equipment and troubleshooting tools
- Participate in on-the-job training sessions covering electrical theory and practical applications
- Maintain clean and organized job sites while adhering to OSHA safety standards
- Document work progress and complete required reporting forms
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in confined spaces
- Basic math and measurement skills for accurate installations
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and procedures
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Charlotte metro
- Willingness to obtain North Carolina electrical apprentice license within 6 months
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn technical skills
