Responsibilities
- Assist Journeymen: Support senior electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize electrical materials, tools, and equipment safely.
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by laying out materials, protecting flooring, and ensuring safety compliance.
- Basic Wiring: Help with pulling wire, stripping insulation, and terminating cables under supervision.
- Tool Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, organized, and maintain tools in good working condition.
- Reading Plans: Learn to interpret basic blueprints and electrical schematics to understand project requirements.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; technical school background is a plus but not required.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety and precision in work tasks.
- Communication: Ability to follow instructions clearly and communicate with the team effectively.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time, including weekends and overtime as needed.
- Background: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
