Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Perform basic electrical tasks including pulling wire, mounting junction boxes, and connecting fixtures and outlets.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to understand project requirements.
- Ensure all work strictly adheres to local Virginia building codes and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site, ensuring all tools and materials are accounted for.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively under direct supervision.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to report progress or issues.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to travel between job sites.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating electrical loads.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
- No prior electrical experience is required; we will provide all necessary training.
