Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians: Support senior technicians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Learn Electrical Codes: Study and apply the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations to ensure all work is compliant.
- Tool Maintenance: Keep work area clean and organized; properly maintain and inspect electrical tools and equipment.
- Site Preparation: Help prepare job sites by laying out materials, drilling holes, and setting up scaffolding safely.
- Reading Plans: Learn to interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams under supervision.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients, explaining work progress and ensuring satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to Learn: Strong desire to learn the trade and a positive attitude towards mentorship.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfortable with basic calculations and measurements.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a standard background check and drug screening.
