Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical equipment and tools to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Help maintain a clean and organized job site, adhering to all OSHA safety regulations.
- Prepare materials for projects, including cutting, bending, and measuring conduit.
- Complete required coursework and training sessions to progress through apprenticeship levels.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Strong desire to learn and a commitment to safety.
- Reliable transportation to commute to job sites.
