Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
- Perform basic electrical troubleshooting to identify and resolve faults in wiring and circuits.
- Ensure all work areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with OSHA safety regulations.
- Transport materials and tools to and from job sites efficiently.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely and correctly.
- Document work completed and report any safety hazards or equipment issues to supervisors immediately.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are preferred.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in various weather conditions, and climb ladders.
- Basic understanding of mathematics (addition, subtraction, fractions) is helpful.
- Strong desire to learn the electrical trade and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
