Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
- Prepare work areas by laying out materials and organizing tools according to blueprints.
- Drill holes and cut openings in walls/floors to install wiring.
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
- Perform basic testing to ensure electrical systems are functioning correctly.
- Adhere to all local and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Basic math skills are required for measuring and calculating loads.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong desire to learn the trade and obtain a Journeyman license.
- Good manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
